The Titan's Awakening has been unlocked!

Taio the Warrior Mage has begun gathering allies for a journey into the past to discover the origin of the godlike Titan who still poses a threat to the land. The majestic Titan was caught off guard the last time he was defeated, but he will be nearly unstoppable next time.

To travel to the past, Taio's alliance must pass through the Void that lies at the edge of the Old World. Do you have what it takes to survive the trek through oblivion to discover the secrets of your world and how the Titan attained his power? What will you do when you behold the age in which The Titan Awakens?

Next Stretch Goal: New Quest Cards added to every Adventure Pack!

We are already quite close to our next Stretch Goal (less than $2K away)! Based upon your feedback, if we reach our next goal, we are going to add 1 new Quest to every unlocked Adventure Pack, including 1 new Final Enemy complete with a set of Final Enemy Cards. If you thought those pesky Death Fairies were rough, wait till you meet their monarch!

Future Stretch Goals (Tabletop & Digital)

As our campaign surges forward, we'd love to discuss new Stretch Goals with you! 

One of the most popular suggestions we've received has been adding new Dungeon Tiles complete with new Enemy Tokens. This has been a very popular request, so you can be sure that we will add it to the list of upcoming Stretch Goals very soon!

As our number of backers grow, we also look to the possibility of adding Digital Stretch Goals as well. This will allow us to afford more Stretch Goals at a more even pace during the days ahead. We still have more analog Stretch Goals in mind too, of course, but we want to offer Stretch Goals at a more frequent pace because that's a lot more fun!

With that in mind, we've compiled a list of Digital Stretch Goals that we'd like to create in order to enhance your enjoyment of Dungeon Alliance. Although each of these items will require a significant amount of development time, the advantage for us is that these do not require physical manufacturing so we can more easily afford to create them for our growing community of backers. Also, as soon as one of these is completed, we can release it to you right away, even before the rest of the analog components have been manufactured.

Please take a look at this list and let us know what you think. Please discuss your ideas in the Comments section of this Update so that we can review everyone's thoughts in one place. Which of these would you be most excited to see as future Digital Stretch Goals? We value your opinions and ideas, so please let your voices be heard!

• Hero Drafting App: This progressive web app would allow you to use your smartphone or tablet to do the opening Hero Draft instead of laying out all the cards. As we reach additional Digital Stretch Goals, we'll add more features, including cross referencing heroes with one another so you have a sense of your team's overall synergy as you draft. All backers will receive exclusive beta access to this free app.

• Digital Adventure Packs: Digital Adventure Packs would allow you to add blank physical Story Cards to your tabletop game (released as part of this Kickstarter) to trigger digital Story Cards and Campaign Cards on your mobile device. This content would only be available in a digital format for at least 1 year. Although this digital content would normally be released to paid subscribers, all backers would receive the first set of Digital Adventure Packs for free.

• Illustrated Story Content: These short stories are one of many ways we'd love to explore the Old World where our adventures take place, and even tie new characters and storylines into future expansions for the game. The stories would feature new art from the same artists that you have come to love for their work on Dungeon Alliance. We would allow backers to have a special hand in shaping the future of the storylines by voting on which characters they'd most like to see us focus on, and even vote to decide which elements of the storyline should be added to the game itself. All backers would receive early access to this content.

• Dungeon Alliance Web Comic: This takes the illustrated stories to the next level. These graphic adventures would allow you to visualize the Old World in a whole new way. Similar to the Illustrated Story Content, backers would help us shape the future of the storyline and determine which elements should added to the game world. All backers would receive early access to this content.

• Dungeon Alliance Adventure Books: This is perhaps the most ambitious project we're considering, but it's one that we've wanted to explore for a long time. Many of us grew up reading the old Choose Your Own Adventure books. We would like to create similar, more advanced versions of interactive narratives in digital format that are set in the Old World. Players would see their choices not only determine the storyline they pursue during the current adventure, but would also see their decisions impact their adventures during future digital books in the series.  All backers would receive the first Adventure Book for free.

We are proud to reveal the graphic design for all 4 Dungeon Frame Playmats! Our graphic designer, Chechu Nieto, has created a unique ambiance for each design.

You can add these 2mm thick playmats to any package for Dungeon Alliance. Please see the "Add-Ons" section on the main campaign page for more details.

Issue Summary

• We've crossed the $100,000 threshold and unlocked our second Stretch Goal: Adventure Pack IV: The Titan Awakens!

Welcome, Returning Heroes and New Adventurers!

Glorious celebration and feasting have filled the King's Palace! In just over 18 hours, Tay the Summoner accomplished all that the King had asked of her. She had swiftly gathered the adventurers who had become scattered throughout the realm and beckoned them home. And arriving with the veteran heroes were many new adventurers as well, hardy and eager to prove themselves.

The King was beaming with pride as he overlooked the mighty assembly. But something wasn't quite right. He knew someone important was missing.

And then the realization struck him like a thunderbolt. Tay herself had not returned with those she had summoned! What cruel fate could have befallen her?

The Lost Alliance

Word quickly spread throughout the chamber of the missing summoner. Soon it was apparent that Tay's closest companions, Mitra the Trickster, Vrahk the Hunter, and Shoktor the Transmuter, were missing as well. 

This stalwart alliance was last seen entering the infamous Slayer's Dungeon. What strange adventure could have diverted them there? Were they imprisoned, slain, or worse? 

The heroes of the realm knew at once that they must set out on a new adventure: to find the Lost Alliance!

In the midst of the chaos and confusion that followed the realization of the missing adventurers, another crisis arose. Runyon Zay the Gnome Scholar suddenly realized that two of his figurines, the ones depicting his favorite heroes, Bull the Human Warrior and Lorna the Half-Orc Priest, had gone missing!

Then there was much swearing, spitting, and kicking of random objects on the part of the temperamental scholar, and no one could console him or assuage his temper. At that moment, Runyon felt something inside the left pocket of his robe.

"Wait, everyone! It's okay! They were in my pocket the whole time!" announced Runyon. He then drew them out for all to see.

With a sigh of relief, everyone returned to their duties. The crisis was over!

Issue Summary

• Adventure Pack Add-Ons: Some of you have requested that we make the Adventure Packs an Add-On so that backers with high shipping charges can work together to mix and match their packages. After some consultation with the printer, we have made this change to the Add-Ons section of the main page. Now you can essentially design your own package filled with Add-Ons, and we will only charge you the base shipping fee for your country. Thanks to everyone for your feedback!

The Gilded Prison has been unlocked!

Centuries ago, a gold dragon named Mryth awoke from a dream that he had reformed all the wicked creatures in the universe, thereby abolishing evil for all time. Determined to see his dream come true, Mryth constructed a majestic fortress where he trapped thousands of monsters with the hope of rehabilitating them. This fortress is called the Gilded Prison.

But now word has reached the court that the magnificent stronghold has been breached by an unknown power. Within this place of seeming serenity now wages a conflict of tremendous scale as thousands of monstrous beings burst their bonds in revolt. The chaos might even spread from the gates of the prison and into the adventuring lands beyond.

"To arms!" shouted Sir Holgar the Paladin as he rose to his feet. "We must not allow the dragon's vision to perish!"

But there were other in the court who had different thoughts, those who had long hoped to seize the riches of the legendary prison. McFarlin the Dwarf Assassin immediately signaled his companions. This crisis was ripe for opportunity...

Next Stretch Goal: The Titan Awakens

How was it possible for an entity as mighty as the Titan to rise to power?

If we reach our next Stretch Goal, you will witness his ascendancy first hand. The next Adventure Pack to be unlocked will allow you to behold his surge to glory as you prepare to face the Realm of the Titan. This Adventure Pack allows you to seamlessly incorporate the Titan Quest from the Dungeon Alliance: Champions expansion into your campaign. Now you will learn the backstory of this monumental foe before facing him in epic battle!

The Next Mystery

What lies beyond the next Stretch Goal? If we unlock The Titan Awakens, we will reveal the next mystery, which will have two parts. 

The first part will be an enhancement to the four Adventure Packs that we will have released so far. Some of you have been requesting more of a certain card type, and we've been listening. We'll be adding this card type to each Adventure Pack that we release in the campaign if we reach this goal.

The second part will be a downloadable component that will take us many weeks to complete, a way to open up the fictional world of Dungeon Alliance in a whole new way.

And if the momentum of the campaign continues, we have more in store for you too, including new Adventure Packs and even more enhancements to the game! Much adventure awaits us, stalwart heroes!

Issue Summary

• We've unlocked Adventure Pack III: "The Gilded Prison." Will you be able to restore the dream of Mryth the Gold Dragon, or will you profit from his vision's destruction?

• Our next goal is Adventure Pack IV: "The Titan Awakens." If we unlock this Stretch Goal, you'll be able to witness the Titan's rise to power before facing him yourself!

• The next Stretch Goal beyond that will include an oft requested card type added to each Adventure Pack, as well as a downloadable component that opens up our fictional world in a whole new way.

• Beyond that: more Adventure Packs! More enhancements to the game!
